About the project

FeatherCut is a free tool for shrinking and preparing videos for platforms like YouTube, Discord, WhatsApp and email. It started from a simple creator's need: fit a recording into a limit quickly, without installing software and without sending private files to someone else's server.

How it works

FeatherCut uses FFmpeg, the same engine behind most video software. Here it runs as WebAssembly, directly in your browser. Your video is processed on your device and never reaches our server.

Why it is free

• There is no premium plan and no paid features.
• There are no ads.
• Running the site costs very little, because your browser does all the work.

If the tool is useful to you, you can support the project voluntarily. Support does not unlock anything. FeatherCut is and will stay the same for everyone.
