Privacy policy

In short: your videos never leave your device. Compression happens in your browser, so we have no access to your files.

What data we process

• Video files: none. The file is read and processed locally, in your browser's memory, and is gone when you close the tab.
• FFmpeg engine: on first use your browser downloads it from a public CDN (jsDelivr). Like any file download, that service sees your IP address and browser type.
• Visit statistics: we currently use no analytics and no cookies.
• Hosting: the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, page visited) for security.

Cookies

FeatherCut does not use cookies.

Supporting the project

If you choose to support the project, the payment happens outside FeatherCut (for example in your crypto wallet). That service's privacy rules apply.
