Good to know about WebM
- WebM holds VP8, VP9 or AV1 video with Opus audio. MP4 needs them re-encoded to H.264 and AAC, so it takes a bit longer than a simple repackage.
- Screen recordings are full of small text. The YouTube preset keeps quality high, so text stays readable.
- Older iPhones and some editors do not support WebM. MP4 with H.264 is supported almost everywhere.
